Fix the network printer's address in the router
So the printer address does not change after the router restarts.
The router gives the printer an address (such as 192.168.1.50) and may change it after a restart. BME POS then asks "Is this your printer?". The lasting fix: reserve a fixed address.
- Find the printer address: from the BME POS search, or by printing the configuration page from the printer itself.
- Open the router page in a browser (often
192.168.1.1or192.168.0.1, printed on the router label). - Look for DHCP, then Address Reservation, Static DHCP or DHCP Binding (the name depends on the router).
- Add the printer with its address and MAC address, then save.
- Restart the printer.
